Yuliia is an accomplished Ukrainian accordionist with a dynamic international career spanning concert performance, ensemble work, and chamber music collaborations. She began playing the accordion at the age of seven in Ukraine, and her exceptional musical journey has since taken her across Europe, Asia, and the UK.
Between 2014 and 2018, Yuliia studied at Kherson Music College, where she was a soloist in the renowned folk ensemble Vencerada, performing on both the accordion and the cimbalom (tsymbaly). The ensemble toured extensively, giving acclaimed performances in various cities across Ukraine and Lithuania.
Yuliia continued her musical education at Kharkiv National University of Arts (2018–2022), where she expanded her artistic horizons as a professional accordionist. During this period, she performed internationally with ensembles across India as part of Smile and Soul International Company and appeared as a featured accordion soloist in dance and music productions with Miparty Dance Company in southern Turkey.
Since relocating to London in 2022, Yuliia has quickly established herself as a vibrant presence on the UK classical and world music scene. She has given numerous concerts, including two solo recitals, and performed at venues such as the Royal Albert Hall (Youth Prom 2022), the House of Lords, Guildhall, Conway Hall, Mansion House, Drapers’ Hall, and The Reform Club. In addition, Yuliia had the privilege of performing alongside Eurovision 2022 runner-up Sam Ryder in concert.
During her Erasmus program in Italy (2023–2024), Yuliia was a founding member of the accordion quartet Harmonikós, with whom she gave highly successful performances across southern Italy and won the prestigious Chamber Music Competition in Ischia in May 2024.
Yuliia has refined her artistry through masterclasses with distinguished accordionists, including Giuseppe Scigliano, Massimiliano Pitocco, Samuele Telari (Italy), Ksenija Sidorova (Latvia), and Raimondas Sviackevičius (Lithuania).
Since 2024, Yuliia has been studying for her Master’s degree at the Royal Academy of Music in London, where she is set to graduate in 2026. As part of her work at the Academy, she has actively participated in a range of chamber music projects and collaborations. These include performances with ensembles from both the Royal Academy of Music and the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, as well as a featured performance at the Courtauld Gallery in March 2025 as part of the Sounds Like Art collaboration with the Academy.
A recent highlight of Yuliia’s career was her role as an on-stage musician in The Dowager’s Oyster, a contemporary jazz operetta in two acts. Alongside these projects, Yuliia has performed with London Concertante, one of the UK’s leading chamber ensembles, in their Candlelight Concert series across England and Ireland. Most recently, she took part in the World Music Festival in Innsbruck, Austria, performing with the London Accordion Orchestra.
This summer, she is collaborating with the UK-based company Wild Arts, continuing to develop her work in both classical and cross-genre artistic projects.
