Robin Bailey

Robin trained at the Royal Academy of Music and Guildhall School of Music and Drama Opera Course, London.

Robin’s roles include: Fox/Vixen (ENO/Silent Opera), Mayor/1st cover Anatoly Chess (ENO), Candide/Candide & Alfred/Die Fledermaus (West Green House Opera), Val Jean/Les Miserables & Tony/West Side Story (Pimlico/Grange park opera), Fenton/Falstaff & Alfred/Die Fledermaus (Iford Opera), Gastone/cover Alfredo/La Traviata (Nevill Holt Opera), Bearded Wild Thing/Where the Wild Things are (Shadwell Opera), Rodolpho/Olivier award winning La Boheme (Soho Theatre).

Robin’s oratorio work includes: B Minor Mass/Bach, Mozart Requiem & Le Grand Messe de Morts/ Berlioz (Canterbury Cathedral), St. Matthew Passion/Bach (Colston Hall/Bristol Beacon), The Bells/ Rachmaninov (Winchester Cathedral), Israel in Egypt/Handel (Southwark Cathedral).

Robin was awarded 2nd prize in the International Lotte Lenya competition in New York City, and the Young artists’ prize at the Les Azuriales competition in Nice, France. He was also a founding member of the A Capella group Voces8, and was regular member of Gareth Malone’s professional choir Voices.
